In our sixth session, The Life and Times of Elizabeth I (1533–1603), we examine the extraordinary life of the Virgin Queen, whose rule witnessed a flourishing of culture, exploration, and national identity. Guided by Alex, a distinguished scholar and Fellow of multiple prestigious institutions including Christ’s College Cambridge, the McDonald Institute of Archaeological Research, and the Institute for Oriental and Classical Studies at HSE University Moscow, this session will explore pressing questions: How did Elizabeth balance power in a male-dominated world?
