About the event
Following the reflective depth of the Life Curve Workshop, CSIA and San Ye Cao continued their collaboration with the Effective Communication Workshop, a session dedicated to the everyday art of understanding, listening and relational connection.
Communication is a way of constructing relationships, negotiating expectations and expressing care. This workshop focused on the common experience of “mismatch” in interpersonal communication: the gap between what we intend to express and what others actually receive; between the love we offer and the form of care others may need; between the desire to be understood and the difficulty of truly listening.
Through psychological frameworks such as the iceberg model, values-based cards and behavioural reflection tools, participants were guided to examine their own communication habits. The session helped them identify not only visible behaviours, but also the emotions, assumptions and unmet needs that often lie beneath conflict or misunderstanding.
